June 30 Presentation Bonanza |
The June 30 C2BE speaker series event was a great success. Featured speaker Ted Howard gave an inspiring presentation on the Cleveland Evergreen Cooperative Fund and their new family of cooperative green businesses in Cleveland's University Circle, which C2BE hopes to use as a model for business development in Detroit's cultural center. Ted has been kind enough to share his presentation Powerpoint with us, so we're passing it along to you .
As if that wasn't enough activity for one day, C2BE Executive Director Deborah Olson made a presentation to the Skillman Foundation on the 30th, giving them an update on our mission and current activities. We've posted her presentation as well for your edification.
Finally, in both of the above presentations, reference is made to the cooperative-based economy of the Mondragon region of Spain. As it happens we were able to meet privately in April with Mikel Lezamiz, Director of Co-operative Dissemination for the Modragon Cooperative Corporation, at the Ohio Employee Ownership Center's conference. He has been kind enough to let us share his presentation about the MCC, so we're making it available as well.
