The Center is hard at work organizing the upcoming Community-Based Enterprise Speaker Series. Thanks to generous funding from the Skillman Foundation and LISC Detroit, the Speaker Series will be bringing examples and discussions of Community-Based Enterprise to neighborhoods throughout the city. While planning is still in progress, session topics are expected to include establishing community-based supermarkets, small-plot urban farming, youth entrepreneurship, and applying the experiences of Spain's Mondragon Cooperative Corporation to Detroit. If you are interested, you can download more details. |
